P1 Art Milestone Programme – Action Painting
P1 students explore emotions through abstract painting inspired by artists Wassily Kandinsky and Jackson Pollock, using music and unconventional tools. Individually, they create mixed media face collages reflecting their feelings. This fosters collaboration and emotional awareness through creative play.
P1 students engaged in action painting to create painted papers for their mixed media face collage.
P2 Art Milestone Programme – Triorama
P2 students create trioramas (three-dimensional miniature scenes with three visible sides) inspired by Liu Kang and Cheong Soo Pieng’s artworks. Using paper collage and recycled materials, they illustrate neighbourhood scenes. Through this, they explore depth, composition, and storytelling by applying foreground, middle ground, and background concepts.
P2 students engaged in the creation of their 3D mixed media triorama based on the theme of their neighbourhood.
P2 Doodlechamps Assembly Show and Creative Doodle Challenge
P2 students learn cartooning techniques during the Doodlechamps Assembly, nurturing creativity and problem-solving while reflecting on how art expresses values and personal identity. They then participate in the Creative Doodle Challenge, transforming simple marks into drawings that represent Respect, Care, or Integrity.
P3 Art Milestone Programme - Mixed Media Assemblage
P3 students create mixed-media assemblage, combining found materials in a low relief artwork centred on environmental themes inspired by artists Tan Zi Xi and Han Sai Por. Using found materials, they collaborate to raise sustainability awareness. This project builds critical thinking, adaptability, collaboration, and global literacy through art linked to real-world challenges.

P4 Art Milestone Programme - Museum-based Learning (Including Learning Journey to the Singapore Art Museum@ Tanjong Pagar Distripark)
Fern Green Primary School’s Primary 4 Museum-Based Learning (MBL) programme provides students with authentic opportunities to engage with contemporary art through close observation, discussion, and inquiry-based learning at the Singapore Art Museum @ Tanjong Pagar DistriPark. Building on the school’s second year of implementing teacher-led museum learning experiences, 2026 also marks our first participation in the Singapore Art Museum’s THINK! Contemporary programme.
Through the programme, students explore how artists communicate ideas, emotions, and everyday experiences using different materials, forms, and perspectives. Students are encouraged to reflect on their own experiences, think adaptively, and make meaningful connections between art, personal stories, and the world around them. The programme culminates in a multi-school art exhibition at the end of the year, where students will have the opportunity to showcase and celebrate their artistic learning journey.

P5 Art Milestone Programme – Mixed Media Relief Sculpture
Through the P5 Art Milestone Programme, students explore emotions, identity, and relationships through mixed-media artmaking using weaving and clay techniques. Inspired by contemporary artists Kelly Limerick and Fyon Cheong, students experiment with colours, textures, layering, and sculptural forms to communicate personal stories and ideas.
As students learn weaving techniques, they are encouraged to think creatively and adaptively while making artistic decisions about materials, composition, and visual storytelling. The programme nurtures self-expression, reflection, and appreciation of how art can communicate emotions, memories, and cultural experiences in meaningful ways.
This is a revised programme in Term 3 hence students’ works are currently unavailable. Above are images of possible outcomes.
P6 Art Milestone Programme – Leaving a Legacy
At the end of the year, P6 students reflect on their six-year journey at FGPS and express their memories and aspirations through a culminating artwork. The form changes yearly, showcasing their artistic growth while building communication and collaboration skills. This final piece allows them to leave a meaningful mark as they graduate from FGPS.
