Positive Parenting Programme (Triple P)
Build your parenting skills and confidence with Triple P, a fully subsidised, evidence-based programme
Methodist Welfare Services Family Support Programme (MWS FSP) has been appointed by Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) to partner with Fern Green Primary School to conduct the Positive Parenting Programme® (Triple P).
Triple P – Positive Parenting Program® is one of the most effective evidence-based programme designed to enhance the parenting knowledge, skills and confidence of parents. It has more than 30 years of clinical research and has been implemented in more than 25 countries, including Australia, Japan and Hong Kong. Parents who completed the programmes reported improvements in four areas:
1. Greater parenting competence
2. Lower parenting stress
3. Improved emotional states and
4. Reduced behavioural problems in children.
Triple P Level 2 Seminars
Triple P level 2 seminars consists of three seminars which runs at 1.5 hours each. Upon attending three seminars, parents will receive a set of complimentary Tip sheets on the topics. The 3 seminars are:
Seminar 1: The Power of Positive Parenting
Seminar 2: Raising Confident, Competent Children
Seminar 3: Raising Resilient Children
Triple P Level 3 One-to-One Consultation
Triple P Level 3 is for parents who are facing some parenting issues and require one-on-one support. The consultation sessions offer practical strategies to help parents confidently manage children’s behaviour, prevent problems from developing and build strong, healthy relationships.
Duration:
4 sessions of 1 hour each
Triple P Level 4 Group Sessions
Triple P Level 4 is for parents with multiple concerns about their children’s behaviour or those who are motivated to learn a variety of parenting skills to apply in various parenting situations. The group sessions help parents learn strategies that promote social competence and self-regulation in children as well as decrease problem behaviour.
Duration:
5 group sessions of 2h each as well as 3 individual telephone consultations of 20 min
